My love of consignment sales is pretty obvious. This time, I went with Adam to the twin sale, and then went midweek to the giant sale that is way out in the burbs. Adam likes to shop for toys, while I spent my time on the more practical items.
This is just a fraction (this was the baby stuff) of what they had at the sale in the Oaks convention center. I was there on a mission -- bikes! I bought trikes for the twins for the bungalow, a trike for our neighbor friends, and a two wheeler for my nephew Nathan. Thank goodness for the bulk hold section, or I would have never been able to shop in other parts of the sale! I also ended up with a cool box of assorted legos, some bungalow friendly toys, and some much needed summer shoes for the twins (last year we were carting back and forth too much). Next time Adam wants to go to this sale instead -- I'm a bit afraid of how many toys he will come home with!

Lost Zoo Outing
A post trapped on my phone: A few weeks ago, on a Sunday morning, I took the boys to the zoo solo. Adam had taken them out on Saturday morning, so I I could work, so the next day I returned the favor.
Once we got into the zoo, the boys ran around happily, but this is what I looked like getting them to and from the car: Lukas in the sling, Alex in the stroller, and Oliver on the glider board! I was quite a sight! Lena and I both get amused looks from passerby-ers when we are out and about like this. In the meantime, I have figured out how to get Lukas into the sling on my back, which makes things so much easier.

POTD: Giddy in Anticipation
Jana and her boyfriend arrived tonight for a two week visit. Oliver was giddy in anticipation all day. His teachers told me it was all that he would talk about at school and he was so worked up that about the airport run that he couldn't eat dinner.
We didn't have to wait long at the airport. We got plenty of smiles from other travelers that passed us by as we waited. Doesn't he just make your heart melt?

POTD: Library Card
Yesterday we went to the local library for a play date with a family that lives just a block and a half away. Their son is with the twins in preschool and their daughter and Oliver will be in the same school for Kindergarten. we also have all the kids enrolled in Friday afternoon soccerclass together (stay tuned for more photos!).
Oliver was very proud to get his library card and check out material for the first time! I'm happy that kids don't get charged late fees!
We also rented Lego Movie to pre-screen ahead of possibly showing as part of Oliver's birthday party. The twins lost interest fast and their antics were so distracting that I could barely follow the plot of the movie -- it's supposed to be one of those movies that also has some adult humor, but I wouldn't know...

POTD: Oliver and Lena's First Adventure
Today is the first day that Alex and Lukas are at preschool for a third day/week. Oliver doesn't go to daycare on Fridays and up until this point, Lena has managed all 3 on those days. Alex/Lukas love school and we thought a third day/week would be good for them. Since Oliver is enrolled at full day daycare, he doesn't get to spend a lot time with Lena, let alone solo. So, we arranged for the twins extra day of daycare to coincide with Oliver being at home.
From today until he starts Kindergarten, Oliver will enjoy "adventures" with Lena while the boys are in preschool. Today, Lena took Oliver to ride his bike along the Delaware riverfront. They will also go out for lunch before picking up "da brothers" at 1pm.
