While we were gone...

Now that I have photos to go along with this update....  Opa & Mormor survived having da brothers!  From the report we got back, the babies were no worse or better for them than they are for us -- life with babies that only nap for 20min is tough no matter how you slice it! The only perk of our trip being delayed by a week, was that Margit had my dad home from work an extra day (President's Day).  So, she only had the babies solo for 2 days instead of 3.  It doesn't sound like it, but that makes a big difference.
While we were gone, Alex picked up a new trick - he can do the army crawl now, wiggling forward by rocking back and forth and using his elbows for support.  We thought for sure that it would be Lukas that would figure out how to crawl first, since he's been able to get up on all fours for almost 2 months now.  Poor lil' guy is still stuck in neutral and just rocks & back forth.

St Martin

We are just back from vacation and everyone is feeling refreshed.  That time away from the babies, and life in general, was just what the doctor ordered!  Oliver loved all the extra attention that was showered upon him and he was downright angelic for the duration of the trip.  Unfortunately, we had my dad's point & shoot with us (so I could leave my fancy camera at home) and it was stuck in landscape-mode for most of the trip, so our photos aren't as great as they could have been.

Outer Banks Vacation Photos

In the end of August, we went to the Outer Banks for a week with college friends and their kiddies.  A good time was had by all and Lil' Man was great. He slept well, despite being in a foreign place, enjoyed watching the other kids, and didn't put up a fight when it came to sunscreen or wearing a hat. He didn't quite know what to do in the pool (he's just started splashing now) and wasn't a fan of the sand - next summer he'll have even more fun!
