This year his main gift was a retro-red kitchen. Many reviews online said that the kitchen was great quality, but the reoccuring complaint was that it took 3 hours put together, including almost a half an hour just to get everything out of the box and set-up. Adam got to work, confident that it couldn't possibly take that long to assemble - did it ever! Good thing he did in on the 23rd and not after we got home on Christmas Eve.
We decided to reveal the kitchen after we had enjoyed the rest of our Christmas morning. Oliver was so cute after he pulled the blanket off - he kept saying "ohhhh!". Of course, the first thing he tried out was the phone. Then he inspected all of the cabinets/appliances and even made "beep, beep" noises when playing with the microwave. he got fruit from Pauline and pots & pans from Papa & Margit, so it is already a fully-equiped kitchen. It's been so much fun to watch him enjoy it!..... now we just need to figure out where it is going to live.....
