Since Oliver has been watching a lot of Shaun the Sheep lately (claymation on BBC) we went with a barnyard theme for his birthday party this year. It was impossible to find Shaun themed party supplies, but Adam was able to get us a delicious Shaun cake. Adam did a great job with the decorations and the wall decals were a big hit (and still up).
We had more people over this year compared to last year, as more of my family was able to make the trip down to Philly. The good weather allowed us to use the backporch, which helped the house feel less small. We had a few local friends with kids come early for a brunch-play-with-toys parties and our family trickled in by lunchtime. Oliver was adorable when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him and actual pointed at the crowd and yelled "Sing!" and got an encore performance! After cake we opened up some presents - the highlights for Oliver were a keyboard from Grandma & Pop-pop and a Cozy Coupe car from Omi (my mom). Oliver was a real trooper and powered through the day without a nap.
