Heike's Business Trip Photo Chronicle

Last week, it was my turn to be on a multi-day business trip.

The conference was in Fort Lauderdale, so while Adam, my mom, Papa & Margit were juggling the boys (it takes a village!) I got spend a bit of time walking the beach and enjoying a spiked lemonade before the official event began.

Ah, the difference a little make-up can make!  (Left photo - at PHL airport.  Right photo - all dressed up for the welcome reception)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch....

This conference was the debut of my new research subscription product joint venture.  By the end of the third day, I was tired of talking.  Me!  Tired of talking.  Those that know me well know that it takes a lot for me to reach that point.  We had one company decide to become a client while at the event and our services were well received by many attendees, so I'm confident we'll have more signing up in the coming weeks.

On Monday night, I was invited onto a dinner cruise.  We went down along all the mansions -- crazy to see how the 1% lives.  It was a great opportunity to connect with some industry execs, but we were stuck on the boat for four hours, when a three hour cruise would have been more than enough.

All dressed up for the final dinner.

The boys were all super sweet and happy to see me when I got home!
