We had many hands on deck for the move and subsequent aftermath, but not many photos chronicling the event. Who has time to snap a bunch of pictures when all of their belongings are being hauled across town?
On Wednesday, Mom, Lena and I finalized third floor paint colors and started moving the boys stuff into their new room while overseeing the painters and cleaners.
On Thursday, Moving Day (!!!!!), we had my mom, Ken & Lee Ann and Lena all helping, while the boys were at their last day at their old preschool. Lena and I picked them all up at lunchtime and brought them to the old house so they could see that it was empty (thinking that might help the lil' ones understand the move better). They had a blast running around the empty, echo-y house. It ended up being a stressful afternoon with three over-tired boys that were disinterested in napping in a foreign environment.
These are the only photos of the move I have! Not a single photo of moving-helpers.

That night, Lena and I took the boys to the playground close to our new house. Its enclosed and going to be an easy outing close by, when they need to blow off some steam. Right across the street from the playground, is a big open area in between two parking lots (under Route 95). Oliver happily biked around and the boys loved running - perfect!
On Friday, Mom and Kristy helped us unpack the kitchen. Adam and I still had a few loads of awkwardly-shaped stuff we had to get out of the house and Lena went grocery shopping, which was a big help. Then we went trick-or-treating.
On Saturday, my dad came down to help with set-up, which made a big difference in making the house feel like a home. We got two beds assembled, laid some carpets, rearrange the boys' furniture, and got a monster IKEA bookshelf disassembled/reassembled in the basement. Our basement steps are so narrow, there was no other way to get it down the stairs.
Very little got accomplished on Sunday. Adam had a meeting at the SSC, so I had the boys solo. It was a long day. We did take an outing to our new farmer's market (which is actually the oldest in the city), called Headhouse Square. We bought fresh bread, artisanal cheese, some yummy apples and apple cider, and some delicious curry red lentil soup, which Oliver devoured for lunch.
