Getting Our Tree

On an overcast Saturday, we did a quicky-trip to get our Christmas tree at Linvilla, where we have gone the last two years.  It isn't the same experience as where my family goes (you pull up and they tie it to your car for you), but we tried to bring some of the tradition with us and make the most of it.

We enjoyed some authentic Gluewein, that Natalie's family had brought last Christmas, and the boys enjoyed hot chocolate.  Lena and I found a very nice tree, but Adam deemed it to small and selected a giant tree for us instead.  As soon as we had the three selected, it started to rain -- it was a short trip, but we had a pretty cooperative bunch, which is more than I could say last year

That night, with help from Lena and her friend Oxsana, we decorated our monster tree.  Next year, when we actually have furniture in our formal-dining room, we will need a tree with a bit less presence.  In the meantime, we are enjoying having a Tree-room.
