The babies have been a real handful lately... Teething? Maybe. This is just a phase... this is just a phase... but it is a real doozy. The most challenging element has been getting them on a decent nap schedule. Lukas in particular has been challenging. He goes from 0 to 60 and can be overtired in the blink of an eye without displaying any of the normal tired signs. They should be at 2-3 naps/day at this point and aren't even close. Lukas needs a nap after he has been awake for 1hr45min-2hrs. He's a cat napper, so he only sleeps for ~30min. That doesn't give him a good rest and it doesn't give us much of a break either! There have been days when he's taken 5 naps. He fights/resists the nap, as well, making for a very cranky, over-tired baby on some days...
In general, they are getting to be more fun and I'm anxious for them to be able to sit up on their own and engage even more when you play with them. Developmentally, Alex is a bit ahead. He can sit in the bumbo and the exersaucer for much longer periods of time. They are both happy in the doorway jumper, but niether is bouncing around yet. Alex is also better at handling (and stealing) toys. It's pretty cool to see him react (with dismay) when you give something he swiped back to Lukas. Alex has also gotten really good at holding the bottle on his own (Oliver couldn't even do that at this age yet! Take that big brother!).
