Opa & Mor-Mor Visit

In late March, my dad and Margit came down for a long overdue visit. We stayed close to home on Saturday afternoon/ evening, since the weather wasn't cooperative. Opa and Oliver had fun with Oliver's newest tinkering set - they made a Robot!  Well, Oliver watched Opa build it.

On Sunday, we took the boys to the Garden Discovery museum in New Jersey and then out to lunch.  We got to the museum nice and early and the boys really enjoyed going through the different exhibits at their own pace.  This was the first outing where the adults outnumbered kids for one of these outings, AND somehow also the first time we actually lost one of the kids!  Lukas was missing at least 5 minutes before we even realized he was gone.

We grabbed a quick bite of lunch before sending the grandparents back home.  It was the first time we had been out to eat with all the kids since we had been in Lancaster with Natalie last September.  I think it will probably be another 6+months before we do it again!

The day after they left, as I was reading to the boys before bed, Lukas looked at this photo from one of our song books and said "Opa" while pointing to the bald, white-haired man on the bus.  Pretty funny!
