It's Been a BIG week

It's been a busy week, to say the least. 

This week:

• Lil' Man learned to crawl -- video posted earlier. He's still a little unsteady, and won't crawl more than 5-6 feet at a time, but it won't be long now before he's really motoring around.  He's mobile enough that Adam installed the first babygate over the weekend. Life as we know it is forever over.  We were playing with him in his room and he crawled over to the bookshelf and proceeded to take everything off of the bottom/middle shelf.   I'm sure this is just the beginning! 

• He figured out how to pull himself up.  I'm taking Adam's word for it, as I haven't seen it firsthand yet.  Adam went in to get him after a nap on Saturday and Lil' Man was hanging over the bar on this crib.  So, we had to lower the mattress on Saturday night.  We don't need a repeat performance that ends with a loud THUMP in the middle of the night.  I stuck him in the crib to see if he would show me his trick, but this is all I got....

• He started walking when you hold his hands. Balance is still a foreign concept though.  He can really motor around, and is loving his new found mobility. 

• Lil' Man has, not one, but two teeth coming in.  We noticed the first one on Tuesday night, and on Friday I could see the second bottom tooth breaking through as well.  Which would explain the recent crankiness. 

• He's started eating solid foods (more on this soon).  So far he's just getting a lot of food on his face, "Eating" isn't really an accurate description, just yet.  But, we've started the process.
